Information we collect
When you contact us, we collect your name, email address, organization (if provided), training interests, group size, and the message you submit. When you register for a class, we collect participant and purchaser names, email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses, class selections, and payment or registration status. We also maintain attendance, assessment results, course completion, and certificate or eCard records needed to administer training.
Please do not include payment card details, Social Security numbers, medical information, or other sensitive information in an inquiry.
How we use information
We use information to answer inquiries, arrange training, manage registrations and payments, provide course materials, send confirmations and reminders, communicate changes, process refunds, document attendance and completion, issue or coordinate credentials, and maintain business and course records. Technical information is used to operate the website, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot problems.
We use your class contact details for class and service communications. Registration or an inquiry does not enroll you in promotional email or text campaigns. Any future marketing signup will be a separate, optional choice.
Payments through Stripe
Stripe processes payments through its hosted checkout. Payment card and bank details are entered directly into Stripe; our website does not store full card numbers or bank account credentials. We can access transaction details and the contact and address information supplied at checkout to manage your registration, receipt, or refund.
Checkout may call your postal address a “shipping address.” For our in-person classes, we use it for student and course administration records; collecting an address does not mean materials will be shipped unless your class listing says so. Stripe and payment services you choose handle information under their own policies. See Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
Who receives information
We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. We disclose information as needed to service providers that support website hosting, data storage, payments, form delivery, and email. Our current services include Sites hosting and Cloudflare infrastructure, Stripe, FormSubmit, Resend, and Microsoft email services.
For credentialed courses, we share the participant details and course records needed by the applicable credentialing organization or Training Center. For AHA courses, this may include the American Heart Association and our affiliated Training Center for rosters, eCards, recordkeeping, and quality assurance. For employer-sponsored training, we may provide the sponsoring organization with attendance and completion records.
We may also disclose information when required by law or when needed to protect rights, investigate fraud, or resolve a dispute.
Website technology and third-party services
Our website and hosting providers may process IP addresses, browser or device information, requested pages, timestamps, and error or security logs. The inquiry form uses an IP-derived identifier to limit abusive submissions. Fonts loaded from Google Fonts may send your IP address and browser information to Google.
We do not currently use advertising pixels or cross-site advertising trackers. Our hosting, sign-in, and payment providers may use cookies or similar technology for functionality, security, or payment features. We do not currently respond separately to browser “Do Not Track” signals. Third-party services may handle browsing activity across sites under their own policies. Links to other websites are governed by those websites’ privacy policies.
Retention and security
We retain information for the time needed to respond to inquiries, deliver training, maintain required credentialing and financial records, resolve disputes, and satisfy applicable obligations. Retention depends on the record type and any Training Center or legal requirements. Some records may need to be retained after a class ends or after you request deletion.
The website uses HTTPS and restricts the inquiry inbox to the authorized website owner. No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices and privacy requests
Email info@sentinelstrategicdefense.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, ask about its use, or submit a Nevada request to opt out of sale. We do not currently sell personal information. Identify the inquiry or class involved, but do not send sensitive identification documents unless we request them through an appropriate method.
We may verify your identity before acting on a request. We will respond as required by applicable law; some requests may be limited by recordkeeping obligations or the need to complete a transaction. Required registration information is needed to administer your class. You can contact us to discuss an alternative registration method.
Children’s information
This website is intended for adults arranging or registering for training. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information through the website. A parent or guardian arranging youth training should contact us directly rather than submitting a child’s details through the form. Contact us if you believe a child’s information has been submitted so we can review and address it.
Updates and contact
We will post changes on this page and update the effective date. If we materially change our information practices, we will provide additional notice where required by law.
